Are you a liberal? Well, according to this
scholarTea Party person, you are brainwashed. That “Jewish guy,” what’s his name, is funding liberalism and we are all sheep.
But the burning question, the real debate, is whether or not President Obama is homosexual or bisexual. Yes. They are seriously discussing this. Aside from calling him a Muslim, a Kenyan, a pot smoking Socialist, a Communist and a terrorist, he wants to take away your guns and he beats seven-month old fetus babies over the head.
Her news sources? Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and “informative” Tea Party meetings.
Seriously, these people are scary and they vote. These are the folks complaining that Sarah Palin isn’t president.
Watch and weep.

Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday defended colleague Sarah Palin said that he found comparisons between federal debt to human slavery to be “fairly unobjectionable.” Earlier this month, MSNBC host Martin Bashir had blasted Palin after a speech…

Palin, Beck Launch Campaigns for President of Shadow Government

Written by David Neilsen November 20th 2013

fox_hannity_palin_civilwar_120309g
WASHINGTON  – Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and former Fox News host Glenn Beck each launched their 2013 President-in-Waiting campaigns this week at a rally in the nation’s capital. The two Presidential hopefuls were joined by over one hundred people who had gathered in front of the White House to begin what organizers are calling the Second American Revolution to demand that President Obama resign his office.

Reclaim America Now, which organized the event, announced that if he did not relinquish the Presidency by Black Friday (November 29), they would meet in Philadelphia to elect a ‘shadow government.’

“America, I hear your call and I’m ready to stand in your stead as your President once we get rid of that Kenyan over there,” said Palin to the cheering crowd of dozens while pointing towards the White House. “When we gather in Philadelphia, in the great state of Delaware, I will answer the call that I have heard and we will together create a real America from the ashes of the other America that is so great it deserves better!”

“[It’s time] to cleanse the nation of the half-Muslim, anti-white, socialist fraud in the White House before the nation goes under for the final count,” said event organizer and Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman. “Through the Second American Revolution, we will elect a real President who will be ready to move in to the White House just as soon as we toss out the current occupant and have the place fumigated.”

“In the end [Obama] will feel the force of the American people, just like King George did,” he added to applause.

“Some people will say I shouldn’t be elected Shadow President,” said Beck as he took the stage. “These are the same people who deny that the Founding Fathers were evangelical Christians! Are you going to listen to them? Hell, no! Don’t let somebody else tell you what to do! Vote Beck in 2013!”

Contributing to the convention-like atmosphere was a George Washington impersonator who took the stage to read a revised version of the Declaration of Independence. It demanded, among other things, lower taxes for all U.S. citizens, a physical, original copy of President Obama’s birth certificate, and unqualified support for Israel to launch a preemptive strike against Iran.

“I’m really excited about our slate of amazing Shadow Presidential candidates,” said Klayman. “I’ve even heard that Alan Keyes is considering a run. My only regret is that Ted Cruz is waffling on a bid what with his current gig and all. But we might elect him in absentia anyway.”

Bill Maher Looks At Sarah Palin & Pope Francis' Heated Twitter War

Posted: 11/18/2013 3:34 pm EST

Sarah Palin made headlines last week after an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, where she said that some of Pope Francis' statements sounded "kind of liberal." Palin has since apologized, explaining that her point was about not trusting the media.
Ok, sure, why not?
But if you get your news from Bill Maher, then you know that the story was much more incendiary than a poorly worded comment followed by an apology. In the world of "Real Time," Palin's gaffe led to a heated twitter war between the Pontiff and the former Governor/VP candidate.
Watch Maher's fanciful take on the war of characters that didn't actually ensue ensued above.

Sarah Palin Tells African Americans That They Misinterpreted the Word Slavery

Sarah Palin Tells African Americans That They Misinterpreted the Word Slavery

By: Jason Easley

palin-slavery
Sarah Palin is telling African-Americans that they don’t know what the word slavery means. Palin reacted to her use of the term slavery by saying that people are misinterpreting her.

TAPPER: So, you obviously feel very passionate about the national debt. The other day, you gave a speech in which you compared it to slavery.
PALIN: To slavery. Yes.
And that’s not a racist thing to do, by the way, which I know somebody is going to claim it is.
TAPPER: Don’t you ever fear that by using hyperbole like that — obviously, you don’t literally mean it’s like slavery, which cost millions of people their lives and there was rape and torture. You’re using it as a metaphor.
But don’t you ever worry that by using that kind of language, you — you risk obscuring the point you’re trying to make?
PALIN: There is another definition of slavery and that is being beholden to some kind of master that is not of your choosing. And, yes, the national debt will be like slavery when the note comes due.
TAPPER: So you’re not — you’re not work — I mean I’m — I’m taking it as a no, but you’re not — you’re not concerned about the language —
PALIN: I’m not one to be politically correct, evidently.
TAPPER: OK.
PALIN: And, no, I don’t — I don’t worry about things like that, because no matter what I say, no matter what a lot of conservatives say, they’re, you know, they’ll be targeted and distractions will be attempted to be made to take the listener and the viewers’ mind off what the point is, by pointing out, oh, she said the word slavery in a speech, and, I did say the word slavery, because I want to make a point.
TAPPER: You can understand why African-Americans or others might be offended by it, though?
PALIN: I — I can if they choose to misinterpret what it is that I’m saying. And, again, you know, I’m sure if we open up the dictionary, we could prove that with semantics that are various, we can prove that there is a definition of slavery that absolutely fits the bill there, when I’m talking about a bankrupt country that will owe somebody something down the line if we don’t change things that is, we will be shackled. We will be enslaved to those who we owe.
According to Webster’s Dictionary, slavery as a noun means, “the state of being a slave :the practice of owning slaves.” There is no meaning of slavery as Palin described it in the interview. All the definitions of slavery are related to owning other human beings as property.
Sarah Palin seems absolutely unaware of the fact that a white person telling African-Americans that they misinterpreted the term slavery reeks of both white privilege and racism. Palin is an example of the Republican Party’s attitude towards minorities. She doesn’t care if the use of the term slavery offends people. In fact, she probably hopes that it will offend people so that she will get even more attention.
Republicans are always trying to diminish slavery by comparing their own plight of maybe having to pay higher taxes, or the bills that our government ran up as slavery. The truth is that these things have nothing in common with slavery. The debt does not mean that the American people are literally shackled with no human rights. Paying the debt does not make Republicans property.
The legacy of slavery is alive and well in much of the racism that we see in our country today. The sort of racism that Sarah Palin has repeatedly used against President Obama.
All Americans know what Sarah meant, and her attempt to blame African-Americans and others for misinterpreting her only compounds the racism.

Palin Asked for Her Alternative to ACA; She NAILS It!

Palin Asked for Her Alternative to ACA; She NAILS It!

by SemDemFollow

To all you haters out there:  You gotta hand it to Lady Blah-Blah.  Going on the lamestream media to face the wrath of the liberal machine, surely she knew that she was going to be asked about her plans for an alternative to the program she has been railing against for months.  And in typical Palin fashion, she studied hard and prepared a perfect response to the liberal, socialist/fascist health-care huggers.
Just kidding.
Warning:  you may need to play it several times to attempt to decipher the incoherent, rambling Palin gibberish session.  But as you learned in English class, the more words you use in a sentence, the more intelligent you sound.
I give you Palin, unedited.
Matt Lauer:  "What are we hearing from the Tea Party in terms of an absolute, realistic plan that can be an alternative to Obamacare?"
Without even thinking, Palin sprung into action:
Said Palin: "The plan is to allow those things that had been proposed over many years to reform a health-care system in America that certainly does need more help so that there's more competition, there's less tort reform threat, there's less trajectory of the cost increases, and those plans have been proposed over and over again. And what thwarts those plans? It's the far left. It's President Obama and his supporters who will not allow the Republicans to usher in free market, patient-centered, doctor-patient relationship links to reform health care."
Got that? Matt Lauer, clearly not interested in deciphering any of that and not wanting to make her feel bad, simply said "L-L-Let's move on. Let's talk about Chris Christie? Boy, he had a massive win!"
Really, it was a softball interview and Matt Lauer was an embarrassment.  You can't appreciate how bad he was until you listen to him immediately after she said that ball of stupid.  She has had months to think of a coherent response to what an alternative would be (and its not like she has had any real work to do).  A REAL journalist would have called her out on what she said:   "What plans are you talking about that have been proposed over and over?  How is the ACA not free market?"
Or just "I'm sorry, I didn't understand any of that.  What?"
But asking for clarification wouldn't be fair to her fans.  After all, this isn't a real news program, its a talk show interview.  So let's move on to an easy question.  And don't you have a book to plug?
In fact, don't waste your time on the whole interview.  The today show is a joke.  Just enjoy 1:37-2:31.   You will pine for the intellect of Quayle and Bush.
Because as bad as our leaders can be, I am proud to say that at the very least they can put a coherent sentence together.

Sarah Palin And Matt Lauer Had An Insane Conversation

Sarah Palin And Matt Lauer Had An Insane Conversation

The Huffington Post  |  By Jack Mirkinson Posted: 11/11/2013 11:09 am EST  |  Updated: 11/11/2013 4:30 pm EST

To watch Matt Lauer and Sarah Palin try to discuss health care on Monday's "Today" was to watch two entirely separate conversations awkwardly meet in the middle.
When Lauer told Palin that the Tea Party was really into repealing Obamacare, she was very into that. "Right on!" she cried.
When he asked about what the Tea Party alternative to Obamacare was, Palin looked him straight in the eye and answered an entirely different question. "And it's not just the independent grassroots Tea Party movement saying this!" she said.
"But where's the plan from the Tea Party?" Lauer beseeched, his increasingly scraggly beard lending him the air of a reproachful professor.
"Especially Democrats running for re-election," Palin continued (she had been talking the whole time). She finally ran out of steam and answered the actual question. Oh how she answered it!
"The plan is to allow those things that had been proposed over many years to reform a health care system in America that certainly does need more help so that there's more competition, there's less tort reform threat, there's less trajectory of the cost increases? And those plans have been proposed over and over again. And what thwarts those plans? It's the far left. It's President Obama and his supporters who will not allow the Republicans to usher in free market, patient-centered, doctor-patient relationship links to reform health care!"
"Let's move on," Lauer said. Yes, let's! Somewhere, Megyn Kelly was saying to herself, "Been there."
Note: An earlier version of this post stated that Lauer's beard was "gazing reproachfully at Palin." However, after reader David Rutz pointed out that Lauer's beard is, in his words, "not nearly cool enough to be personified," we found that we were inclined to agree. We pledge now to only personify Lauer's beard when it is truly bushy and wild.

Sarah Palin Starts Obama-Bashing With ‘This Isn’t Racist’, Racism Ensues

Sarah Palin Starts Obama-Bashing With ‘This Isn’t Racist’, Racism Ensues

posted by Dylan Hock November 10, 2013
Sarah Palin just won’t confront racism.  What does one expect when she continues to propagate it in numerous speaking engagements?
Palin spoke at the conservative Faith & Freedom Coalition’s fall fundraiser Saturday, a “non-profit organization committed to educating, equipping, and mobilizing people of faith and like-minded individuals to be effective citizens”),where she compared the U.S. debt to slavery and prophesized that young Americans will be “shackled” by the country’s out of control spending.
According to the Des Moines Register Palin stated at the event,
This free stuff, so seductive. Why do you think marketers use free stuff to bring people in? Free stuff is such a strong marketing ploy.  But didn’t you all learn too in Econ 101 there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch? Our free stuff today is being paid for by taking money from our children and borrowing from China.
She continued,
When that note comes due–and this isn’t racist… but it’s going to be like slavery when that note is due. We are going to be beholden to a foreign master. Because there is no plan coming out of Washington, D.C. to stop the incurrence of debt…  What Barack Obama seems to want to do is go back to before those days when we were in different classes based on income, based on color of skin.
Leaving the economic debate aside, forgetting that the cuts being lobbied for would inevitably come from the small budget allotted America’s social and educational programs rather than war, war,  and constant war (always war!), let’s examine Palin’s statement in regard to race and racism for a moment.
Essentially, Palin is saying that our president–of mixed descent, a hearty portion of which is African American–is spiraling America into a class structure akin to slavery through incurring too much debt.  And where does a prominent amount of American debt go?  To WAR, of course!  Yet how  many times have you seen a Tea Party sponsored anti-war rally?  How many times have you seen the Tea Party or conservatives shut down the government over ending the wars?  Instead, Palin actually berated conservatives who did not back the government shutdown over the Affordable Care Act.
To the contrary, conservatives are typically the ones beating the war drums whenever possible, as war equals profit.  They are the same groups who also continually cut social programs that help those most in need, and currently the American structure strategically places people of color predominantly in those positions.  The system is designed against color and its economic structure clearly illustrates this.  As does Palin’s argument.  Anyone serious about cutting spending cannot ignore the vastly bloated “Defense” budget this country continues to raise at every opportunity.
Yet Palin has the nerve, the ignorance and privilege to spout her mouth, to publicly, shamefully claim that our Black president is reducing Americans to slavery.  She hasn’t the faintest notion of what slavery was, what it is, nor of the history (the REAL history) it has regarding the United States.  She is the quintessential racist.  Ignorant of her own ignorance.  Blind.
Blindness is the only reasonable excuse.  One hopes she is blind to it, otherwise it is malicious and despicable.  Ignorance and blindness are no excuse for her, sadly, however, as there is no doubt that these errors have been pointed out to Mrs. Palin by the public for many years now.  She is no stranger to public racist statements.  She stated something very similar in 2012 when she claimed President Obama is “brining us back… to days before the Civil War.”
No, this is not a blind mistake but an intentional position. A racist position.  One has to wonder how often comparisons to slavery were made in politics prior to Barak Obama’s election to the presidency.
To continue to dismiss, reduce, minimize, or draw false comparisons to the current, privileged American lifestyle and slavery is to not only highlight the ignorance rampant in this country, but to also ensure our trajectory toward a more humane future remains off course.  We must begin to alter the narrative, and it begins by not listening to garbage like Sarah Palin.
Please watch the video below and spread her shame.

How the Tea Party’s Apocalyptic Politics Are Destroying the Republican Party

How the Tea Party’s Apocalyptic Politics Are Destroying the Republican Party

by Joe McLean Nov 11, 2013 5:45 AM EST

Leaders of the Tea Party are willing to wreck the Republican Party, the government, and the economy to prove that Obama is evil and God is on their side.

Want to know why the Tea Party so eager to grievously wound the Republican Party? The answer is as simple as it is counterintuitive: its leaders view themselves as modern prophets of the apocalypse.

In the aftermath of the great government shutdown of 2013, the Tea Party continues to cause heartburn for establishment Republicans. Consider the results of last week’s elections, which offer clues to the internecine GOP battles that lie ahead. Although it’s much too early to draw hard conclusions, Chris Christie proved that a moderate, common-sense Republican could win in deep blue New Jersey, while in purple Virginia the wild-eyed social reactionary Ken Cuccinelli failed to gain traction outside his uber-conservative Christian-right base.
Yet the Tea Party is willing to defy overwhelming negative public opinion, wreck the government, risk plunging the world economy into chaos and invite political defeat. The driving force behind this destructive strategy is that Tea Party zealots answer to a “higher calling.”
They believe America teeters on the brink of destruction, and hold as an article of faith that liberals, gays, Democrats, atheists and the United Nations are to blame. This “end-times” world-view is a foundational precept of the evangelical movement, from which many of the so-called Tea Party favorites spring. Scholars call it apocalypticism.
Of course, the Tea Party is not just composed of members of the Christian right. Many are genuine libertarians. Some nurse an unreconstructed Confederate grudge, while others harbor a thinly disguised racism. However, the real energy, the animating force for the movement comes from evangelicals, of whom Ted Cruz, Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin are the most strident. These are the modern-day ”apocalyptic prophets.”
Although the issues are secular, the prophets’ anti-Obamacare rhetoric rings with religious, end-times cadences. So to understand why they invoke chaos, we need to know where their ideas about an “apocalypse” came from.
Most theologians, including the revered Albert Schweitzer, believe John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth were Jewish apocalypticists. Simply put, these first-century prophets believed they were living in the “end times” before God would send his representative, the “Son of Man” (taken from a rather obscure passage in the Book of Daniel), to overthrow the forces of evil and establish God’s justice on earth. Apocalypse literally translates as “the revealing” of God’s will. For these early prophets the Kingdom of God was not to be a church, but a military and political kingdom on earth.
Lest this sound far-fetched to modern ears, listen to our modern Tea Party prophets in their own words:
“You know we can’t keep going down this road much longer. We’re nearing the edge of the cliff . . . We have only a couple of years to turn this country around or we go off the cliff to oblivion!” - Ted Cruz at the Values Voters Summit, Oct. 11
“. . . I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s End Times history. Rather than seeing this as a negative . . . we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand. And so what we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this, that these days would be as the days of Noah. We are seeing that in our time.” - Michelle Bachmann, Oct. 5, 2013
“And this administration will been [sic] complicit in helping people who wants [sic] to destroy our country.” – Louie Gohmert on the floor of the U.S. House
“The biggest war being waged right now is against our religious liberties and traditional values.” - Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Values Voters Summit
“The fight for religious freedom starts here at home because we are one nation under God.” - House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Values Voters Summit
For these apocalyptic prophets, the issues aren’t even political anymore; they’re existential, with Obamacare serving as the avatar for all evil. In this construct, any compromise whatsoever leads to damnation, and therefore the righteous ends justify any means.
Much of the prophets’ message is couched in populist language. It sounds familiar to us because we’ve heard it all before. Historically whenever our country has experienced economic stress an angry, reactionary vein of populism surfaces. Sometimes called “Jacksonian,” this common thread actually reaches back to the American Revolution, then to Shay’s Rebellion, through Jackson’s “Augean Stables” to William Jennings Bryan’s rants against science in the Scopes “Monkey Trial.”  It includes “Know-Nothings,” Anti-Masons and Huey Long’s “Every Man a King.” George Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door and Ross Perot sabotaged George Bush the Elder’s re-election. Except for Andrew Jackson, each burst of populist fervor ended badly.
Our modern prophets are fundamentally different. Their dogma springs from Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, through James Dobson’s Family Research Council, to the eerily omnipresent Fellowship and its C Street house.
Ted Cruz’s father, Raphael was seen in recently uncovered videos calling for America to be ruled by “kings” who will take money from anyone who is not an evangelical Christian and deliver it into the hands of fundamentalist preachers and their acolytes. This is a movement is called “Christian Dominionism,” and it has many adherents the evangelical right. It is also obviously and dangerously anti-democratic. These new apocalyptic prophets, and the demagogues who profit (pun intended) from them, see themselves locked in mortal combat against the Anti-Christ in a fight for America’s soul – and wealth.
Now if you are battling the forces of evil for the very survival of the nation, there can be no retreat, no compromise, and no deals. Like the Jewish zealots at Masada, it’s better to commit glorious suicide than make peace with the devil. There can be no truce with the Tea Party because its apocalyptic zealots can never take “yes” for an answer.
Since the apocalyptists cannot compromise, they must be beaten. President Obama and congressional Democrats seem to have finally grasped this fact, and are learning how to deal with them. By refusing to knuckle under to extortion in the government shutdown drama, Obama exposed their reckless radicalism and won resoundingly.
But Democrats can’t solve this problem alone. To bring any semblance of order back to the American political system and restore a functioning two-party system, the GOP has to find its own equilibrium. Thankfully, this process has already begun.
Establishment Republicans, corporate CEOs and Wall Street moguls stand appalled at the Tea Party monster they helped to create. Formerly cowed into silence, they are beginning to see the handwriting on the wall and speak out against the self-destructive zealots.
In conservative Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli was largely abandoned by the GOP establishment. Many Republican leaders even went so far as to endorse the Democrat, Terry McAuliffe. Unable to raise significant money from the Republican establishment, Cuccinelli was outspent more than ten-to-one. While Virginians rejected a conservative who believes government’s role is to regulate morality, New Jersey voters chose a conservative Republican who believes government has a constructive, practical role to play.
The contrast is striking – and instructive. Until Republicans slug it out among themselves and decide which kind of party they want to be, we will continue to lurch from crisis to crisis.
This family fight will not be easy or bloodless. The Tea Party represents roughly one-half of the Republican base. They love Cruz, Palin and the chorus of other voices crying in the wilderness. They are unified in their hatred of Obama, and they are organized down to the precinct level. More importantly, they despise the moderate voices in their own party.
Gerrymandered congressional districts guarantee many safe Tea Party seats. Powerful think tanks and advocacy groups like The Heritage Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, American Enterprise Institute and others, which in years past underpinned the Republican establishment, are now heavily invested in the right-wing agenda and will not be easily co-opted. Deep-pocketed militants like the Koch brothers will keep the cash flowing, and right-wing talk radio-heads will whip up the aggrieved faithful.
It’s almost impossible to predict how this family fight will end, but there are at least two possible outcomes:
First, the pragmatists win. The Grand Old Party could be led out of the wilderness by a charismatic figure a la Chris Christie, who is viewed as a straight-talking, practical problem-solver. Any such leader will have to arise outside Washington. The pragmatists’ backers would include big business, Wall Street, the military-industrial complex, GOP lobbyists and a plethora of wealthy patrons who can’t afford any more Tea Party shenanigans.
They have a strong case. Moderates have won some dramatic conservative victories over the years, delivering massive tax cuts, reforming welfare, de-regulating Wall Street, diluting Roe v. Wade, reviving federalism with block grants and reshaping today’s conservative Supreme Court.
Second, the hard-liners revolt. The party splinters, and out of the wreckage a new center-right “Whig Party” emerges. This is not so far-fetched as it may seem. A recent bi-partisan polling by NBC and Esquire Magazine reveals a wide plurality:  51% of Americans view themselves as centrists, not deeply invested in either party.
Not surprisingly, these moderates have both liberal and conservative views. 64% support gay marriage, 63% support abortion in the first trimester, 52% support legalizing marijuana, and they support a strong social safety net by wide margins. But 81% support offshore drilling, 90% support the death penalty and 57% are against affirmative action. So a new moderate coalition might well attract significant support from the moderate middle, establishment Republicans, Independents and centrist Democrats too.
Unfortunately for the apocalyptic prophets, only 29% of the moderate middle thinks churches or religious organization should have any role at all in politics. So like the prophets of old, they seem fated to join that long sad procession of failed zealots and martyrs who were overwhelmed by hard reality and their own rigid dogma.

It's Baaaack!!! The Sarah Palin War-on-Christmas

The Sarah Palin War-on-Christmas Soundboard

New York Magazine  |  By Dan Amira Posted: 11/08/2013 3:33 pm EST
sarah palin For religious conservatives, howling over the so-called "war on Christmas" has become an annual holiday tradition almost as enjoyable as Christmas itself. On Tuesday, Sarah Palin seeks to capitalize on the phenomenon with the release of her newest book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas. Daily Intelligencer purchased the Palin-narrated audiobook from a local bookstore, where it was on sale early, and listened to all four-and-a-half hours, which is technically not a violation of the Geneva Convention if you're getting paid to do it, New York's legal team insists.
The book is part tribute to the joys of Christmas, part how-to guide for oppressed Christians looking for ways to fight back against whiny and litigious secularists, and part manifesto on the general superiority of Christianity over atheism. Palin, throughout, appears incapable of fathoming why a business catering to people from all walks of life may prefer to use inclusive holiday-season language in promotional items, or why a non-Christian may not appreciate a government institution expressing a preference for Christianity over other religions. To hear her tell it, such attitudes imperil America's dedication to religious freedom itself. Click around on the Christmas tree below to hear some of the book's more memorable lines.
